When my sister said that we are staying at a mountain lodge somewhere in countryside Sweden, I really did not expect it to be part of Design Hotel by none-other-than Peter Bohlin! You know, the dude who designed the iconic Apple store in Times Square?
Not too far away from the hotel is an old copper mine. I guess that’s why the hotel’s called Copperhill Lodge. DUH! They use a LOT of copper for the interior. Check out the lamps and that one massive wall entirely made out of copper!
The view from the lodge was also amazing.
Copperhill Mountain Lodge would be the best place to stay if you are going to eat in Faviken, because, again, Öre is a teeny tiny village with limited choice. Hiking was awesome though.
And apparently in the winter, the whole village will transform into a popular skiing destination. Considering their July was around 15°C, I shudder to think of how cold Öre’s winter would be.
